Tips For Beginners In A1 TRIATHLON!
1. Make a first step
You may wait long for a sign, for an invitation or advice to take part in triathlon race and it will never come. Elsewise you can register to the next A1 TRIATHLON race just now and change your life once and for all. Triathlon is one of most dynamically developing sports in the world – don´t miss your chance to become one of the first amateur triathletes in Russia. It would take several weeks to get ready for a short distance triathlon (Sprint or Olympic) – so start training today!
2. Find a company
Tell your Friends about your new hobby – you are sure to find a partner for training! It is much easier to stick to training plan and aim at improving your results together. Moreover, you can take part in Olympic race in a team of three so if you are only good enough at running and swimming that is not the reason to withdraw from participation in A1 TRIATHLON.
3. Choose your equipment in advance
There is a misconception among the beginners that proper equipment for triathlon is too costly that is why they put off buying it till the last moment. You can find much cheaper high-quality second-hand equipment but you must do it long before the race so that you don´t get surprised with rubbing sore wetsuit or loose trainers.
4. Find professional advice
A1 TRIATHLON brings together many professional sportsmen that can give you lots of useful advice. Don´t stay aside, talk to other competitors before the race starts – it will help you find answers to many questions. Having run several races you will be able to share your secret of success with other athletes!
5. Prepare your start
Many are afraid of swimming in open water itself. However, successful start often has greater impact on water stage performance than proper technique. Keep in mind that there will be a few hundred people starting together and decide where you would feel more comfortable to start – among the first or behind others. Are you ready to have other competitors swimming all around you or you would like to concentrate on your technique albeit being behind other athletes.
6. Don´t hurry
Remember that triathlon is primarily an endurance race. Don´t chase high speed, the main goal of your very first start is to get to the finishing line and feel the unique atmosphere of this dynamic type of sport. Don´t hurry to outrun your rivals and don´t fuss in transition zone – you can always improve your speed in further A1 TRIATHLON competitions!
