Triathlon In Off-Season: How Not To Lose Motivation
Season is coming to an end, the last traces will finish soon and we´ll only have to wait anxiously for spring to come when new starts make adrenalin rush. What a triathlete can do in off-season? A1 TRIATHLON has the answer!

Set an ambitious goal for the coming season
Choose a goal to inspire you on trainings. It must be a challenge you are eager to spend time and powers to get ready for. Run your very first triathlon, finish a longer distance than you´ve done before, improve your time, discipline yourself, outperform your main rival – goals are countless. Choose what would wake you up early in the morning to train in coldest and darkest days of the year. Set a goal to move out of your comfort zone and is a worthy destination point.

Register to the race
Registration to 2016 A1 races starts soon on our website! Having registered to the races and having your season planned you´ll see big picture and will be able to schedule your training so that you come to your peak fitness at your moment of glory.
Start a new training diary
Having your races planned and preparation program ready (professional coaches will help you do that) stick closely to the preparation plan and write down your training details in the diary. There are a lot of programs specially designed for triathletes. You may also keep this information in a regular diary. This data would help you monitor your progress, make corrections in training program and would give you confidence before the race when you see how much work you have done on your way to the competitions.

It´s high time to level-up your bike
You shouldn´t change bicycle just before an important competition. Off-season is a perfect time to choose new equipment. Ask specialists to help you replace the details that were damaged in races, adjust your riding position, to recommend you some novelties for faster and more comfortable riding.

Mind your health
If you have traumas to fix it´s high time to go to a specialist and pass full treatment instead of temporary remedies usually taken during the season. Even though you didn´t have a nasty injury it is worth having health screening to reveal your weak spots, check your cardiovascular system, locomotor system, joints, immune system etc.

Improve your technique
There is enough time before the next races to learn different techniques of swimming, running and cycling, try to practice them and chose the one that suits you best!

General fitness
Find time for general fitness – that is what helps you prevent traumas and keep yourself fit between competitions. So you must schedule force and endurance trainings to improve your results significantly next year.

Move to your goal!
Preparation is not only training regime itself, it´s important to foresee every detail: how will your trainings pass when weather conditions worsen, how to train in the swimming pool, what vitamins and food supplements to take in off-season. You must have it all decided so that nothing stops you on your way to triumph! And... just make a step! A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step!
